| Ameridrives,
a pioneer in power transmission technology, is now a leader in contract maintenance
programs for gear spindles, universal joint assemblies and couplings. Our maintenance
programs help extend the life of your mill drives through repairing, replacing and
rotating the major components as required. Mill Maintenance Programs analyze your needs.
Inspection reports, repair recommendations, and price estimates are submitted for
approval. Maintenance Programs can also include recommended design, material, and heat
treat improvements for component parts. Basic features of these programs include: |
Inspection of components for wear, including roll end bores, gear teeth, splines, thrust
buttons, seal parts and cross bearing assemblies. Our extensive repair capabilities
services your specific rebuild requirements. Typical repairs done at Ameridrives include
grinding and lapping damaged gear teeth and replacing a section of intermediate shafting
that failed under catastrophic conditions.
Special inventory programs
are available to maintain required stock levels of component parts.
Complete reassembly of all
units follows repair.
After repair and assembly,
the units are painted, protected, packaged, and shipped back to the customer. |
An
important element of our Maintenance Programs is the computerized monitoring of major
components by serial number. All major components are assigned serial numbers for future
tracking. This computerized system allows us to determine how long a certain component has
been in operation. The exact location of each component is also tracked on a continuous
basis. Contract maintenance is
a good example of the new direction the steel industry is taking to reduce maintenance
costs and operate more efficiently. Our basic objective is to help you achieve these goals
through reducing spare parts usage, reducing new parts inventory, reducing costly
downtime, and reducing other maintenance expenses. |
